I was out walking the dog at my mom's neighborhood today when I heard a familiar roar a few houses down. I saw the guy I had sold my '69 Squareback to a year ago backing it out of his garage. I decided to check up on it. It aparently has a major exhaust leak, but still seems to run fair otherwise. The car had original paint over most of it, and the dash paint and interior were in very good condition when I sold it. The interior still looked okay, but the dash was covered with stickers. The driver's door had more damage than it used to due to an altercation with a tree stump. He had added headlight eyelashes (or whatever those things are) to it. So anyway, it just wasn't my car anymore. It was his car. His scummy girlfriend seems to have inherited it (and drove away drinking a beer too). If I ever get off my lazy butt I'll send the pile of pictures of my car in the condition it was in a year ago to Greg to add in whatever part of the Type III page he sees fit. I still wouldn't mind picking up a Squareback with a solid body but shot mechanicals around the Atlanta area. It's funny that there are 4 Bentleys, three DeLoreans, and one AC Cobra for sale in the Atlanta paper, but there hasn't been a Squareback for months - and probably a couple of years for an early body. Anyway, cheers. Graham
