<x-flowed> From this description I suspect some crud in the line somewhere. Whwn you blew air through backwards from normal flow, you dislodged the crud, fuel flowed in the normal flow direction until the crud flowed with it and then got stuck again resulting in more dribble.
Somewhere is a loose piece of crud that is obstructing flow is what I would be looking for.
