One other thing that I can think of once you get it running- check that the cooling air flaps open properly. Dab a bit of white paint/tipex on the flap rod when cold and check that the rod rotates as the engine warms up (5-10 mins at idle or so). I didn't do this and drove for quite a while with them frozen shut- I'm lucky my engine still runs at all!
