Jim asks "When you convert to IRS won't you be switching to the late subframe and also adding the rear hangers, which are different from the single center mounted one you have now?" My IRS conversion is going to be as follows: I purchased the suspension of an early 944 porsche. I'm going to weld in aftermarket IRS pivots. ... use 944 spring plates and traling arms gives me 944 disk brakes and sway bar in the rear plus IRS. I'm modifying my original swing axle subframe so I can have irs AND the tranny framehorns. While I'm in there I plan on fabbing a rear engine support. I'm also going to modify the front so I can use the 944 brakes as well. I am also getting the master cylinder and the booster. I plan on using them. I'm just not sure exactly how I'm going to fit the booster. I might be getting the rack and pinion unit aswell Thorkhild Darkside Apprentice 68 VW Blue Fasty http://www.geocities.com/vwbluefasty/ http://www.aircooledkings.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
