I re-did the seats on my '69 last year with TMI covers and had good results. You will want to use the sharp hooks that are welded to the seat frame to secure the covers (don't use hogrings). Pry them up very gently to avoid breaking them. I used a pair of channel lock pliers to help stretch the covers onto the hooks. The hardest hooks to get are for the backrest cover. You are going to think the covers they sent you are way too short, but you really have to streeetch the cover. Pick a warm day and let the covers sit in the sun to make them pliable. I didn't use the plastic bag trick that others have mentioned to slip the cover on. On your '69, I think you'll find that the foam cushion for the headrest already has some plastic on it. Oh, before you start, carefully remove the buttons on the backrest and keep track of them for re-use. I also re-used my horsehair padding with good results. I also added some extra horsehair from a old pair of seats I had. If you need extra, get in touch, and I'll see if I have more. I think I might.. Also, get some carpet remnants, cut to size, and place them between the springs and the padding. With everything apart, I also greased the pivot points and springs liberally.
