No, think about it, it is a Boxer style engine. the engine flywheel
always stops in one of 2 places, because of the compression. So, turn
the flywheel 90 degrees, and you are onto "fresh" teeth on the flywheel.
Look at a stock flywheel, you will see that most of the wear is 180
degrees from each other.
