[T3] found hesitation problem

I swapped out the 009 with the spare 009 with points, and by
process of elimination then ruled out the compufire unit, so it must have
been the advance mech. on my "new" 009 (which was/is a Bosch
unit with about 10K miles on it) that was causing the hesitation.
Relative to my old spare 009 the return action/springs on the newer one
seem much weaker when moving the adv. mechanism by hand. Anyway, now that
I have that solved (knock on wood) I noticed that the choke on my left
carb stays about 1/2 way closed long after the right one is fully open,
and remains slightly closed (about 2-3 mm) even when the engine is hot.
I'll search the archive and Bentley before asking a bunch of newby
questions about choke adjustment, but I'm just mentioning it because I
was thinking that might have been somehow compounding my problem
(?).

Also, when using an advance timing light set to 32 deg, the mark that
should come into view at 3500 RPM is the TDC mark (and NOT the 10 deg.
BTDC that it idles around) correct?
