[T3] battery dead?, hot VR
<x-flowed> Phillip was running a little rough at idle yesterday, then this
morning the battery was dead. Beautiful 60deg. morning, didn't leave on
any lights, but could just barely turn over once. Rolled started it to
get to work, roll started it to get home. When I got home, and tried to
restart it would only do the one rev. The newer Bosch VR was HOT!
Nothing in engine bay amiss, generator wiring and brushes good.
Battery is over 10 years old, but has never so much as wavered, even
in the winter. Voltmeter shows ~11V. If the battery "looses a cell",
would it make the VR hot? I guess a new battery is overdue, but I hate
just throwing parts at a problem.
