Better yet, run the hose from the bleed nipple up and
over the tire and then down in a bottle. Air bubbles
from the nipple will go up and away from the nipple.
Easiest way to keep bubbles from the hoses I've found,
and I've tried many techniques. Don't have to worry
about air in the bleed line getting sucked back into
the nipple as there is a column of fluid pushing back
against the nipple.
Don't need a second person, don't need pressure or
vacuum. Gravity and differential densities work
wonders.
