I agree. Unless there is rust under the paint, I don't think we can duplicate 
the quality of the original paint/primer system that VW used. You'll need to do 
some testing to make sure the paint you use is compatable with the paint 
already on there, but I wouldn't try to remove good factory paint unless there 
is some overriding reason to do so.
