Maybe it was the Haynes manual. I know that I've tested them with a straight 12 V, but that was only briefly, so it didn't have time to hurt anything. The series resistor drops the current and voltage applied to the injectors by a factor of about 4, so this makes a big difference. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
