I've never seen them for sale but I guess they're #15 at http://www.hallvw.clara.net/type3/T3pbo/T3pb2-12.htm - a sort of flat ring. You might be able to make something to take up the gap from glass-fibre tape and exhaust sealing paste. They seal the end of the shrouding from getting exhaust blow-by in. The big clamps you have are #14 I assume. Make sure you don't seal the leak into the heat-exchanger shroud or you'll get exhaust gases into the car. You may need that pipe repaired, or use a heater repair stub (should be available from a good flaps - they fit a Bug too, or turn them up in a lathe if you can). Dave.
