Sounds like you've got a good spare.

Without a pressure regulator it should go to well over the usual 30 
psi. I wouldn't be surprised if it could do 40 or 45 psi, but I've 
never done that particular test.

I remove the pump bracket and store them in old peanut butter jars, 
immersed in kerosene.

There is still a small rubber part that is part of the overpressure 
relief valve that is built into the pump. Those seem to degrade over 
time and eventually fall apart. When this happens, the pump won't 
work any more. I've got a fix for that, but I would have to make some 
parts first. I haven't had time to do any of that, but at least I 
have the materials and the plans. It's not really a DIY project.
