Part of the VW Computer Diagnosis system that VW introduced in late '71 was a little current pickup that clipped around the # 1 SP wire. If you had one of those, you could at least trigger off it, so that you could keep the different cam lobes separated. > i may stick a scope on there one day just for fun.
