You want it to measure right at the battery, but the voltmeters draw current so mine is switched on only when the ignition is on thru a relay. I find if I wire mine to a terminal on the fuse box which runs off the ignition circuit that it only reads about 11V with the engine off. If I wire it one of the terminals which is always live, it reads 12-13V. What is the best way of wiring it up?
