I picked up a full set of injector seals in case they looked bad on inspection, and indeed some of mine were a bit hardened and cracked. They're nice to have in a drawer just in case- they will harden in the heat of the engine compartment after a few decades. I wouldn't clean out the injectors with anything more than bottle of Techron in the tank once in a while. And even then on an old, uncleaned tank I'd be worried about dislodging something in the tank and having it go into the fuel lines, or at least gum up the fuel filter. The rule I follow on the electricals on my Fasty is to not disconnect anything unless there's a good reason- these FI systems connectors are old and its hard to find replacements. Thanks for this advice guys. I'm sure it will save me from a serious headache.
