Oh the tab came off the pan, and so did some of the pan ;-) The tab on the accelerator pedal was still intact though and I think I will remount it with small bolts. I got the whole cluster apart, unseized the brake pedal and sandblasted and powdercoated the whole thing, its back together now and all greased up. Now I can put my foot into the accelerator without fear of it going thru the floor! Oh... but I need to get some 93 octane gas first.... It's an early car thing. My '65 Bug was the same way, and all the early T3's (63-65) where I've bothered to look at the pedals were like that too. You can always take the tab off the pan and use a late pedal cluster & accelerator cable IMO, it's a better design anyway... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
