[T3] Accelerator Pedal

Hi all,

Im putting the Crates pedals back in and was wondering weather all the early
cars had their accelerator pedal welded to the floor?
No, Im not making a snide remark about single side draft carbs ;-) but  the
accelerator pedal in the Crate was separate from the other pedals and welded
to the floor.  Did it come this way or did someone butcher it?
