RE: [T3] Testing out a coil, car not starting

Is your condenser (Capacitor) connected and grounded properly? Is the
ground in place for the breaker plate?

Ok, so here's the latest:

If I move the points manually with my finger, I can get a yellowish
spark off the coil wire. However, if I have my ever-so-patient wife
crank the car, I get no spark at the coil wire or #1 plug wire.

Coil gets a little warm to the touch if I leave the ignition key on
and points closed.

I smell gasoline in the tailpipe, and the injectors click when I move
the throttle plate. The cyl head temp sensor reads 2300 ohms at 70 deg
F.
