My '65 had a swaybar and it was factory. They became standard around

or '60, though IIRC the T1 Ghia had them earlier.
I had a bus one break - only realised when it was making a clanging
sound on
bumps. Yes, definitely a plus on a Type 3.
I've had two Bus swaybars break, and in fact our entire Invasion trip
was made
sans swaybar. I'm not going to put the new one on until I figure out
why the last
two broke. Interestingly, the Bus bar looks like it might work as a
clip-on
addition to the T3 beam from the bit of staring-at-things I've done.
