Subject: Re: [T3] Hole in Hood/Innovations

<x-flowed>>>> OK -
Just sent the pic off to Russ. Here are my thoughts. 1.It is not from a heater, for the car never had one. 2. It was not done by an owner because it's been in the family it's whole life. Could have been a dealer or repair shop thing I suppose. 3. I am leaning towards it being a dealer thing, and not factory because as you will see from the pics it is a tiny bit off center. Germans wouldn't allow such a thing!

Hey Gang - Here's an odd one that I've meant to ask for a while. Does
anyone have a hole in front trunk, directly in the center, that is
about 7 inches from the edge closest to the windshield?
Can you get us a picture??
How big? Maybe it was for a gas heater that used to be mounted in
the trunk.
Those often had a hot air outlet that came into the passenger
compartment just
in front (front is front) of the radio.
Sure I can get you a pic, where do I post it? It is the size of the
badge holes, very small. Dolly (my Square) has been in the family
since day one, so it wasn't done by us.
