I didn't even know that these ever existed. I had a late one on my '68 for a few years and it was a very good muffler, but nothing lasts forever. It was probably the nicest overall muffler I've ever seen made for our cars. It used the OE style connections so you didn't lose the HEs, plus the exhaust exited in the correct location so that the pipes didn't hit the bodywork AND didn't drag on the ground. The metal was heavy enough that it lasted a long time. It had the same black crinkle finish. > Watch out Jim these are BIG pics and may lock up your dial up ; ) Thanks for the warning. I forwarded the message to my work address, so I could view them over our network connection. ;-) > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=265712 > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=265713 > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=265714 > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=265716 > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=265717 BTW, nice Blaupunkt w/type 3 faceplate in the background of one of these shots. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
