It is just grain alcohol. (With additives to keep people from drinking it) Brazil has been using ethyl alcohol for years in their cars, including VW's. For the carbed engines, it is just some jetting changes. For the FI cars, it is a matter of matching the fuel system to the fuel. That is all the multi fuel cars do. The ECU senses the fuel and makes the corrections. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
