Anyone else have these kind of headaches? Unless Weezer has been converted, it has a generator, not an alternator. One of the main differences is that it may be harder to find someone who still remembers how to test a generator. Other than that, they are extremely reliable and tend to be more hardy than alternators. I have a charging system FAQ and troubleshooting guide that I'd be glad to send you if you want it. To make use of it you just need a voltmeter and some basic understanding of electricity. Email me directly if you want a copy. All the tests are done in the car with only you and the voltmeter. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
