[T3] transmission question

<x-flowed>Hey everyone, a quick question. Dad and i have been able to get the  
engine running with the key and we took it for the first unofficial  
drive yesterday. The only problem is it seems that we don't have  
first and second gear. We have the plate under the shifter in the  
right place but it wont go into first or second gear. Any advice for  
us? thanks a lot.
