Scaling these figures down to 60 gives ~3030, which would put my HP *Lower*. I got my gear ratios from a book of old magazine test drive reports on the car, which were for 60s models. Your figures are more likely to be right, as they're for a later car. Did they change any ratios over the life of the car. Maybe the later FI car got a longer top gear, or diff? Can't find anything in Bentley or the VW owner's manual for the car. Anyone with a tacho? -- Matt. UK.
