When you open the throttle fully it sticks open, the left carb on the crate will

I used to have all kinds of problems with my old 1500S Squareback's linkage until I followed Elfrink's advice and reset the left rod to 342mm and the right one to 99mm (102mm up to 10/64 according to Elfrink). It made a huge difference. Apparently the car had a lot of improvisational carb adjustments over the years.
