Well, I got out my micrometer and measured up all the stuff I got out and came up with a few conclusions. Below is the Excel printout but since it may not cut and paste properly basically I noticed the following things: The bearings used amongst the Beams are all the same, and will interchange. The Bushings used on the early 65 Beam are only the Bakelite sleeves with spiral grooves in them to distribute the grease, no bronze bushings and they are wider bushings. You CANNOT replace the lower ones with the newer Bakelite bushings and bronze sleeves as they have a smaller OD but the torsion arms are the same diameter and interchangeable. The UPPER torsion arms are different diameter and not interchangeable between the early and late beams, the early bushings can be replaced using the late Bakelite bushings WITHOUT their bronze sleeves, they wont have the spiral grease grooves and will be wider but they should work. You can replace the upper bushings AND torsion arm by using the bronze sleeve when using a late Torsion arm. Interesting that the upper torsion arm sleeve diameter changed but the lower didn't, but the lower beam opening for the bushing changed but the upper didn't. The other thing is that the upper sway bar end play shims are interchangeable, so if you have the early Bakelite kind that are fragile as eggs, you can use the late steel backed plastic ones. Now to see if anyone can supply the bearings and bushings...
