john, how is the oil level in the engine doing in relation to the

Engine oil went down some during the trip. I think I added about a
quart total in 1700 miles.
Just did a compression check....
#1 95 psi
#2 105 psi
#3 120 psi
#4 130 psi
I will check the valves next and see if anything is going on on the 1-2
side. Even so I think those numbers are OK. Little wider spread than
I would like to see, but nothing really low like I would suspect if the
crankcase is getting pressurized excessively.
Maybe atomization of the oil at high rpm and then it condenses in the
air filter and ends up filling the air cleaner.
BTW, when I took the line from the breather to the air cleaner off, I
could feel air coming out, but no oil even when I revved the engine.
Of course this is with the car not moving.
as to the water, check the drain tubes on the cowling... i am having
the same issue right now in my notch even though my cowling looks
clear. on mine, it is definitely the hoses.
My drains and drain hoses are clear and working good. I really think
it is probably the floor on the driver's side. It always had a few
swiss-cheese issues. The rear wheel wells are fine. I had repaired
those during the redo and used good body caulk in the seam. The area
under the rear seat was mostly dry so I don't think it is coming in
there.
