I've just looked on the web and in the UK for 165 x 15 we have a choice of 5 tyres from £23 ($40) up to £63 ($100) incl tax and delivered here in the UK. Some are T rated speed rather than the S rated of the original. There may be others, apart from the 'vintage' Michelin XZX at a steep price of course. eg Firestone Summer tyres F 560 165 R15 86T * With mytyres.co.uk only £ 34.20 (= $61) I guess it might be harder in the USA as your cars are generally larger, but in the past I was jealous of the cheaper prices quoted in the USA.
