Thanks, this is a big help. I guess I need to get an FI system together and then shop for a distributor once I know what I have. The engine is a 73 but BOY! I sure hope I don't end up needing THAT year distributor... Or ill have to cover up the end of the part number or something ;-) Keith Top Notch Restorations topnotch@nycap.rr.com 71 Squareback 65 Notchback "El Baja Rojo" 65 Squareback "Eggcrate" 87 golf "Winterat" 93 RX7 "Redstur" -----Original Message----- From: Jens Vagelpohl [mailto:jens@type4.org] Sent: Monday, June 19, 2006 4:17 AM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: Re: [T3] Litchfield show report On 19 Jun 2006, at 03:15, Keith Park wrote: > top tins I needed, and a couple T4 distributors.... They seemed to change for each year the 2.0/4 was sold: 1973 - 0 231 174 009 1974 - 0 231 174 011 1975 - 0 231 172 021 They don't list the '76 model year, unfortunately, but the same engine in the 912E in '76 had a distributor with the number 0 231 176 060. jens ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
