I have seen them with what looked like a 1 turn coil spring. These my be
Brazilian, or they may be Mexican. You used to be able to buy them from
the VW parts distributors. But I haven't seen them listed for a while.
Maybe they are the wax pellet type.
I think a lot of the parts retailers quit selling them because of the
liablity issues.
