Hey - I just bought my first Type 3, and will be picking it up tomorrow. It's a '73 Fastback, only 36K miles, but it's been sitting (except for periodic starts) for the last couple of years. I'm hoping to pick it up in Jersey & drive home to the DC area (with a friend driving behind, in case we have problems on the way). Any thoughts on things I should check or look into before we make that drive? For that matter, would anyone care to share a phone number, in case we wind up on the side of a road, trying to fix something on an engine we're unfamiliar with?
