RE: [T3] My Square's Tranny, a question too...


Well at least its reverse, and I know how it got that way and how to keep it
from getting worse.  When I drove this tranny about 20 years ago before I
parted that car out it did sound OK in reverse, and that one tooth with the
chip is only one that has any significant damage on it.

The reverse gears are the only ones that are straight
cut.  It's the 1-2 syncro hub that you're seeing, it's
got the reverse teeth on the outside of it.  Pretty
common unfortunately.  -Bill
