If you can get UK TV, you will enjoy scenes of a Type 3 Squareback driven by Michael Palin, one of the Monty Python crowd, in a more serious role. GBH (Alan Bleasdale) Michael Palin plays the head of a special school threatened with closure by Robert Lindsay, a left-wing council leader with hang-ups. Real star of the series is Michael Palin's beige late Variant, which you see quite a lot of. The series seemed good back when it was made; maybe because I was teaching then and Red Ken was making waves in London, as too was (I think) Derek Hatton as Liverpool council leader. The car's the star though! Sat evening, More4 channel at 10.15-11.55 pm (5.15-6.55pm EST) - GBH (1st of 7 episodes - it's long!). Videoplus 36155359 - hey, it's even got a Type 3 part number, almost! UK channels are Freeview 13; Sky 142; NTL 166; Telewest 142. I haven't a clue if they are the same over in USA, or if you can get them at all. Dave.
