I guess I just need to know where to look first. >> Sounds like a grounding issue. Have you tried bumping on the light housing with the palm of your hand? Sometimes it just needs a minor bump to get a good connection. Remember, the early cars didn't get seperate ground wires like the 69 and later cars did. :O You could always remove the lense, and try backing out one of the 2 screws, and the re-tighten it. The plate light gets power from right side on a Square and Fastback, and left side on a Notch. I hope this helps.
