I'm not sure where they put it in a t-4, but on the wagons, I was told > they mounted it under the rear seat. The 8 cyl Mercedes brains had an extra finned heat sink on one side, and all the others have some large resistors and power transistors mounted to the wall on that side. I've always assumed that those parts were responsible for switching the current to the injectors. It's reasonable to assume that they could use at least SOME cooling, but I think all the type 4s were in the wall just to the right of the armrest on the right side of the back seat. There's little or no airflow there. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
