Actually, it would work with the idea that the vents on Type 3's were designed to be in dead air zone. The area at the base of the rear window should in theory be about as dead as it gets, right? Are the rear fenders on a notchback dimensionally the same as fasty/square fenders, and are only different with regards to the presence/absence of louvers? Not being as familiar with the rear layout of the Notchback, why is the Notch's cooling system different in this respect? You know, the more I thought about it, the more ridiculous the vacuum theory sounded regarding the fenders- you would need a helluva vacuum to cause real trouble with the cooling system, right? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
