Problem: Type III...1971 Sqbk FI Rough, then very rough performance. Spark there all around. But No. 4 plug pull showed no change. Changed to known good plug. No difference. So...thought to change the injector with the best of my collection of injectors salvaged from past cars. Injectors mostly kept in plastic baggies. So far,in this fun job, all have come up leaking around the plastic plug area. These are valuable things that seem to be useless. What do do? No way to keep them as parts for later? No way to fix the seal? Should they be stored in jars of oil or something? I may have to resort to cannibalizing a car that's in restoration mode...then I'll have to search up NEW injectors, if possible. PLUS... old wires at plug broke. Maybe that was the problem all along? Didn't think to mark the wires instantly for which position. Can't find numbers on the wires. So...how to be sure that replacement spliced-in wires (from non-brittle parts of an old loom) are going to the right half of the plug? What are symptoms of having them backwards? Will I have to learn how to use VOM equipment etc? Anyone have the rap on this? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
