RE: [T3] VW Buses

Try over at type2.com for info on this. I am on the vintage bus list, which
is related to that list. I don't know much about those new buses...mine is a
'65.

I'm sure folks on that list would be more than happy to help you out.

Good luck...

Hi all. I know that you are all type 3 junkies, but
could any of you be able to help me out? There is a
1973 Westy near my house that the guy is giving away
for free. I have stoped to look at it and it is
completly solid in all the usual areas. It needs the
usual panel under the windshield along with a 1-1/2"
diameter hole in the cargo floor fixed. This buds has
no engine or trans. The question that I have is if the
engine and trans out of my 412 sedan would fit into
it. Both are the same year, and I believe that they
are the same engine?? I know that you would have to
redo the hole intake system and engine tin but would
it be woth getting this bus and doing this
conversion?? I have little money, and have been
looking for a bus for a while( whant something with
style to pull my Type 3's). Let me know what you
think.
Thanks:
