The OEM installations don't use sealant, and if you use it lord help you if you need to get the glass out again. My rear notch window went in nicely and doesn't leak, even with the cal look seal, but the front windshields are a real pain, Ive found that even the experts break one windshield before the get it right. IF you have the long lip front windshield it should seal properly, if you have the short lip seal it will leak and not fit properly. This is for OEM style seals only, Ive yet to find a cal look that seals right out of the box. Keith Greetings We are about to install the front and rear windows on the Notch. I read Russ' "how-to" and wondered what the consensus is on doing it yourself. Also, Russ made no mention of using a sealant and I wondered, given the recent discussion on leaky windows, would you recommend using a sealant? We have good glass and new West Coast Metric seals.
