At this point I wouldn't try this with the cylinder in the backing plate. You'll just heat up other things that you really don't want to disturb, and, at this point, you're already awfully close to just having the cylinders all the way out. When you remove the cylinders, pull the rubber boots off BEFORE you pry the cylinders out of the backing plate. That way they'll be okay to reuse. Otherwise, they'll be pinched and will have to be replaced. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
