Thank you for the info it just verified what I thought I would have to do. This isn't my first Rodeo. The first engine I ever rebuilt was a 1951 Austin A40 in 1960. My Mother helped me pull it out of the car. Since then I have worked on many different vehicles out of economic necessity. But this is my first VW and it is different!! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Keith Park" <topnotch@nycap.rr.com> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Thursday, August 17, 2006 7:30 PM Subject: RE: [T3] 65 Square brakes > If you have or can use an Oxy torch, get all the rubber parts off the > wheel > cyl and heat that nipple red hot, then just as its cooled to dark again it > will back right now, with the easy out in it that may not be so easy, but > worth a try. > > Keith > > > The left side already had an easy-out broke off in it.
