<x-flowed>I am home!!!!  Left my parents house in Minnesota this morning about 
6:00am and rolled into Dearborn at about 11:00pm.  Stopped and had 
lunch with Jim Adney in Madison (thanks again for lunch and the trip 
speedo Jim). Only problem I had on the final leg (other than the 
terrible traffic around Chicago) was a broken accelerator return spring 
on my cursed LH carb.   I rebent the end that broke and it was fine the 
rest of the way home.

I guess I should be thankful it broke, though.  While I was checking 
things out in the engine compartment, I noticed a bit of wetness on the 
side of the fuel pump around the little built-in filter access cover.  
Turns out the cover was loose and weeping a little.  Don't think I 
would have wanted to find out what would have happened had that cover 
fallen off at speed on the highway.

All told, with my side trip to Minnesota and correcting for my smaller 
front tires, Sophy and I logged 6371 miles.  I used 243 gallons of gas 
for a total average corrected fuel economy of 26.2 mpg.  Not too bad 
and pretty consistent with Jim's FI number.  I paid as little as $2.779 
(in WY) per gal to as high as $3.499 (in CA) per gal for mid-grade 
fuel.

The whole trip was great!  Looking forward to '08 already.
