I must admit... RUSS giving a good account on his Kia with his mechanical prowess means A LOT more than some little old lady down the road that thinks it rides "just fine" But I must say... maybe MY VW is only 35 but it did 7000 miles to the west coast and back nearly 4 years ago and I only had to adjust the points on it! My Square is my long trip car and it has done this very well, albeit not with a 58 bus behind it ;-) Keith If you saw where I live in the winter, you would know why we drive an SUV and a 4x4 in the winter. With the SUV I am supposed to not have to pull the wife out of ditches and snow drifts. Besides, What am I supposed to use to tow the dead VW's long distances home with. I am using the KIA this summer to tow a '58 T-2 and many parts back from Washington. A 40 year old VW would not have made the trip like I made this last weekend. Over 1650 miles in one weekend. Plus I brought home a T-3 long block, an early T-3 rear bumper, and a full set of early heater boxes. Plus many other parts. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
