I really hope you succeed where I failed.

I installed a generic American interval wiper control
in my '67 a long time ago and it never worked well.

It would do the interval thing, but didn't know where
or when to park when shut off. I was never able to
resolve it, so I removed the unit.

Just a data point, it may not be you , it may be a
function of details beyond your control.
