Unless it's in extremely small type, mine has no part # on it, but I'll certainly look, as that makes telling them apart lots easier. Is it possible that the 6V one is unmarked? 12V started with the 67 model year. It's possible that the A/B difference is the knob & mounting bushing style. Maybe the no-suffix version was the 6V one.
