I would think that it would be much easier and stronger to add the diagonal arm pivots to a swing axle rear subframe. Those pivots were available from some sources as add-ons at one time. I don't know if you can still find them, but I'll bet you can. My main concern would be with the structural integrity of the rear subframe. I think it would be quite hard to weld on a wishbone and have it remain as strong as the one piece original wishbone subframe. It's not that I doubt your welding skills, it's more that the welding heats and anneals both pieces with consequences that we can not predict. > I just need a fuel pressure regulator and a fuel pump, and some time to wire > up the components. I'll look to see if I have the pressure regulator. OTOH, the type 3 regulator is the same internally; it's only the mounting bracket that's different. And I believe the type 3 and 4 FI pumps are also the same. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
