Not torsion leaves going between the 2 sides. built in sway bar. the front ride height is adjustable from the factory without doing any cutting. Early T-3's did not have disc brakes. T-3 beam is beefier than a T-1. If you smack a curb and might bend a torsion arm, but you wont bend an axle beam. If you have driven your T-3, you would feel the difference in the handling. Handles better in a cross wind. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
