is in, ( I myself do not think the seals would cause restriction to a point

timing or advance mech in some way.

Thanks for the response. I have checked the timing with an advance timing light, and at 30-32 degrees max advance (TDC jumps around quite a bit when it's advanced so this is an average within 2-3 degrees) it backs down to just around 7.5 tdc. I have the pulley with four marks... a long TDC mark and three lines to the right of it. The center of these three lines is 7.5, correct?

Beyond that, what should I be checking for, and what would be the procedure? It's a 009 w/ Pertronix. btw/ I dug all around for my old FI dist. and can't find it yet. It figures, I keep the damn thing for over 15 years, lug it back and forth across the state and I can't find it when I need it!! @*#&$%!
